GPW Spotlights Women Dreamers Building Peace in Homes and in the World

In honor of International Women's Day 2024 and its theme 'Invest in Women,' Global Peace Women (GPW) is unveiling an inspiring advocacy campaign themed "Peacebuilding from Home to the World: Global Women Dreamers Making Impact.”

This campaign spotlights the remarkable achievements of women supported through the Global Women Dream Grant and Global Peace Women Leadership Academy (GPWLA). Throughout the month of March, we will share compelling narratives of women dreamers who took up bridging divides, fostering social cohesion, and engaging families and communities in building peace and sustainable development. Their stories and projects showcase the exemplary leadership of women who are serving as catalysts for good, highlight the unique perspectives and contributions women bring and underscore the central role of families in peacebuilding and social transformation.

Global Peace Women (GPW) adopts a holistic approach to empower women and families as active agents of peacebuilding, fostering their leadership, capacity-building, and engagement in community-based initiatives to cultivate sustainable peace and prosperity worldwide. The Global Peace Women Leadership Academy (GPWLA) has been a driving force in cultivating service-minded women leaders dedicated to fostering peace in their families, communities, nations and world.  Through its comprehensive programs focusing on capacity building education, experiential service learning, and networking partnerships, GPWLA empowers women to become moral and innovative leaders, actively engaging in peacebuilding and development.

Since 2021, the GPWLA has made significant strides in empowering women and promoting peace across the globe with 106 participants from 32 countries, the academy has directly impacted over 17,451 beneficiaries through 100+ unique projects.
